Description of Transaction
Sequeira Partners was engaged by Cervus to assist with the divestiture of its Construction Dealership Group, a non-core division. The Sequeira team provided advisory assistance throughout the transaction including initial valuation analysis, running a targeted process, managing pricing discussions, due diligence, and negotiation of final transaction terms.
The sale of the Construction Dealership Group to Calmont allows Cervus to focus on its core business while providing Calmont the opportunity to enter the construction equipment market.
Cervus Equipment
Cervus Equipment is a world-leading dealer of agriculture, material handling and transportation equipment. Today, Cervus has interests in over 60 dealerships across Canada, in New Zealand and Australia. The primary equipment brands represented by Cervus include John Deere agricultural equipment; Clark, JLG, Sellick, and Doosan material handling equipment; and Peterbilt transportation equipment.
Calmont
Privately owned and operated, Calmont is Alberta’s premier retailer of new and pre-owned light and heavy duty trucks, class 8 vehicles and trailers. Calmont is also an official authorized dealer of Volvo trucks. Founded in 1977 and based in Edmonton, Calmont has additional offices in Calgary, Red Deer, Fort McMurray and Winnipeg.
