Description of Transaction
Sequeira Partners was engaged to assist Joie in identifying the best-fit partner to provide both liquidity to its shareholder and additional capital for future growth investments into the Winery.
The Sequeira team led the transaction process which included providing an initial valuation, identifying value added potential partners and investors, developing marketing materials and financial models, marketing the business, negotiating preliminary deal terms, managing the due diligence process, and negotiating final transaction terms.
The transaction allowed Joie to secure additional real estate for future grape supply. This will allow the Joie team and Heidi to continue building upon its legacy with an investor that’s keen to invest and grow the business.
JoieFarm
Located on the Naramata Bench in the Okanagan Valley, JoieFarm is a highly reputable, award winning winery first started in 2004 by Heidi Noble. Joie’s developed a reputation for being a highly respected premium, producer of aromatic-Alsatian white wines and Burgundian varietals. The Winery’s focus has been on producing European-inspired wines for West Coast living, while demonstrating the potential of the “cool-climate lake-moderated desert” terroir of the Okanagan Valley.
